Projects

We’ve been busy doing projects around here because we want to be all ready when the baby comes. We’ve had this dresser in the garage all summer that needed to be refinished so we could put it in Jenna’s room and then put her dresser in the babies room. Well, there’s just been a lot going on so we didn’t get to it until last weekend. Thanks to my aunt coming to town it got done in no time at all. She flew into Ace Hardware and bought all the needed supplies, we got home and she got us headed in the right direction. She doesn’t like to mess around and she knows what she’s doing. So here it is:

I love how it turned out. It’s not perfect but it has lots of character. Jenna picked the color for the knobs and pulls and I think she chose wisely. It matched her bedding and looks fabulous.

Here’s the other dresser. Although we didn’t take a before picture. We just changed out the knobs and it made it perfect for the nursery.

I love when projects are completed. Such satisfaction. Especially when they are such a great deal. Both dressers only cost us about $40 thanks to my parents who gave us one of the dressers and my aunt for most of the supplies.
