Full and Sunny Week

We have fit in a lot of fun this past week. We’ve had play dates that have included swimming, ice cream and lots of outside time. The weather has definitely been something to sing about around here.

I love that picture above. The older girls being sweet and obedient, Isaac refusing to hold Brooklyn’s hand and her crying about it. That pretty much sums up those four at the moment. Love them. And even though Isaac refused to hold her hand he’s asked to see her several times this week. He’s just playing hard to get.

We’ve had a fun staff dinner with our team and took time to celebrate all God has done this year. Even though we long for more to be happening we are so thankful for all He’s done in the past year; our third year of being here which seems crazy. We continue to lose staff to go to campus but we continue to gain in babies on the team. They sure are cute.

We’ve gotten really involved in our neighborhood and tonight we helped kick off our neighborhood foot patrol. They’ve had it in the past but it’s been a while since they’ve done it. There was a big group that gathered at our house, I fed them cookies, Isaac sped around their feet on his bike and then they all headed out to walk around the neighborhood. I know I’ve said it before but we love our neighborhood and our neighbors. One of our neighbors said to me, “The McComas home, always has an open door.” I love that she thinks that. We want to be those kind of neighbors, the kind that loves others, welcomes them in and shows Christ’s love in word and deed.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I think the rain is coming soon so we’ll be soaking up all the wonderful rays we can in the next few days.
